Theater Review: A rather silly rendtion loosley based off Leroux. Good points the first musical of Phantom, some wonderful music, has Daroga and features Leroux deformity with white mask. Bad point cheesey script and some cheesy songs. Some very odd addition Sadly fall subject to ALW deformity and half mask now. |

Theater Review: One of my most favorite Musical versions of Phantom there is. Veers off of the original story, but I think kept with the heart soul of the original story. Good pooints some wonderful music and fun script makes you laugh and cry. Carlotta leaves nothing to be desired grant if they cast her right and they normally do. Leroux deformity with half white mask. Bad points not exactly Leroux if not casted right it can be a horrible experince. Falls victume to ALW deformity and mask. |

Theater Review: The most popular musical there is. Made such people like Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman famious. Good points a well done show. It hold it's own through out the show. Costumes by Maria Björnson wonderfully detailed and period correct for the most part. Catchy and memrable tunes. Bad points sets left something to be desired especially if you expected a pipe orgain and least some funature in the fifth cellar. The ending while embigious and not very poieint it lacked the mepact of the orginal. Lots of the meat of the book and the soul of the book was cut to make more time for poitless operas. Don Jaun Triumphant sounds like a buch of pounding on an orgain and nothing like something that would make your soul burn. The most popular musical there is there is. There is so much more out there to be seen it's a shame no one knwos it. ALW shut down Ken Hill to make way for his musical. Spurned on a movie and a sequel. |

Auther the stage manager is not impressed when Queen Victoria promises royal patronage, proviing she gets to meet the Phantom. The chorus girls, led by Lilly and Daphne afraid of the Phantom go on strike and the full house is treated to a pantomime... make that melodrama of Cinderella staring Fred and Charlie as the step sisters and Aurthur as the Fairy Godmother... What a sight! Queen Victoria is not amused. Hilarious cross dressing mixup with music!!
